The Creighton Model FertilityCare System (CrMS) is based on a pivotal discovery — standardized observation of the fertility sign most closely associated with ovulation. This cervical mucus sign is charted by women for gynecologic health maintenance and couples use it to achieve or avoid pregnancy. Natural family planning (NFP) charting is taught to women and couples, and chastity (abstinence) is encouraged for teens and singles. Tracking various biomarkers allows us to calculate a more accurate due date, which can help prevent labor and birth interventions, and identify possible women’s health conditions. AAFCP Continuing Education contact hours can be earned from activities such as:

Note: Webinars are usually 1 hour long, so a single webinar will count as 1 contact hour. 10 contact hours = 1 continuing education credit (CEU). At least 1 continuing education credit (CEU) or 10 contact hours are required per year to either obtain or maintain AAFCP certification. Also, 10 contact hours = 1 teaching credit. Up to 7 teaching credits or 70 contact hours can be used in certification renewal to replace up to 7 clients in the teaching requirement.
